The Paint They Left on My Lips: works that look at different musical influences and the marks they have left on my music and self. Each of the works is sampled from other musical works ranging from Radiohead to Schoenberg. My goal was to retain certain aspects of the aesthetic of these works while also choosing to live in the sound space of these works and freeing them from their limited time elements through their expansion.
These works I started before my trip to Thailand in 2004, when longing was a way of life without destination as I lived in the south, north and the far east and finished when I met my wife who cleansed me and showed me how to see the world and its beauty from any place.
