This series of work began while at the Picasso exhibit in Istanbul the Spring of 2006. It was a wonderful exhibit that was comprised of mostly lesser known works, which was a very refreshing look on Picasso. I was very impressed with his perspective in his still life paintings. These paintings were abstract, yet still very discretely represented their title.

I was immediately inspired to translate his view into my own work. I wanted to create works that were as discretely abstract. The idea was to create works that are process driven. These works take simple ideas of sound creation and strictly focus on this procedure. The works are for acoustic instruments and live electronics.
